Bird Toys for Parrots - Parakeet often gets bored if he has nothing to play with like toys or something to chew. So If you have parakeet at home then chances are there that he gets bored with same old cage and swing. If you've a single bird then many times bird gets bored and seek your attention when there is nothing to play. In such a case you can add few toys inside the cage to entertain him, this way he can divert attention away from you and play with toys instead of missing you or getting depressed.

- Don't buy toys with size longer than the cage's front door. This way you'll make it harder to add or remove the toys.
- Avoid small string toys and also toys with small balls which can be swallowed by parakeets.
- Threads, clothe piece are not the toys and you should avoid adding them inside the cage.
- If any item in the toy is toxic to bird then better not add it inside.
- Toys made for gray, cockatoo are not necessarily work for parakeets (especially the one with small strings).
Other than that you can freely add toys which are handmade especially for birds or the toys which are machine-made with safety for birds.
